Vero Lake: Living in the Country here in Florida

  We had the cutest and smallest little turtle visitor today in my backyard by the back door. So cute! I see many big turtles all around, but this must be a baby, so small, about 2 inches in diameter, very very cute. I had not seen one like this so small. My next door neighbor told me that before our house was built that there always used to be a lot of turtles on this property. I have seen many now since living here for almost two years, but always larger like other photos here on this blog. I love seeing all the wildlife here in VLE, the turtles are very special, turtles can live to be very old too. They are a very special creature from God! What a blessing today! 

  I love seeing butterflies around! I have a lot of flowering shrubs and plants that attract them, so see them most days. yesterday I saw this huge Monarch Butterfly and he was really enjoying the Butterfly Bush! They were almost the same colors! It is so nice to see all of God's creatures about and out where we live here in the country! VLE is a nice place to live and so peaceful and God filled! It is quiet, lots of lovely trees and plants, ponds and lakes, lots of woods, just lovely. We are blessed as humans to be graced with God's blessings like flowers and creatures like butterflies in our lives, it makes life worth living in such crazy times of a world run by man who destroys more so than builds, they could all learn a lot from having more of God in their hearts! We are all God's children, all from His royalty, we are more than a SSN or consumer, we are people with souls and from God too, most elected and so called leaders today have forgotten this, we are God's ch...

  I see this rusty turtle around here quite a bit. Today he came right up while I was close and starting eating my flowers/zinnias.  How bold of him! He is cute and it is nice to have these little critters come around here. We are blessed with so much nature here in VLE! 

  I love when my friends come to visit! Especially this one! I have seen him come in my backyard many times. Usually when I am sitting on the lanai saying my rosary. Yesterday, I was in the backyard and he was there. He even let me get really close, stopped and stayed for a while. I always talk to him. I told him how pretty his shell design was as it had a tessellating hexagon shaped design on his back.  I use photos to teach me. I like to import them into GeoGebra software and then do the math on the photos using all the tools in GeoGebra. The turtle stopped and was still for a while so I took a few pictures or his back shell and on in front. He did not seem afraid. It is always a pleasure to see all the wildlife all around me here in Florida. I love seeing the ibis, the limpkins, the moorhens, even the other day when I was driving toward the beach I saw a small black bobcat cross the road on Orchid Island and run into the woods near the beach I go to.
