Vero Lake: Living in the Country here in Florida

                                                 We need to count our blessings at all times! Always! Today so many are so unhappy. They are negative, hateful, and live in misery. It is sad to see. We need to pray for them, teach them the joy of Jesus and gratitude. We see so much aggression today by some people, also unhappy people, this is not normal, we need to live with love, being kind, loving, and patient. We have some nice pineapples growing in our backyard, a lot of them, but two have babies coming soon, new fruit. I am blessed to have the beach, pond, and lake close by to go to, walk, pray, and enjoy. I sure enjoyed all this week. We even had a bad incident where someone backed into my car, at the Wabasso Beach he did minor damage to my door wall, a little dent. the guy sped off instead of assuming responsibility, but then he returned and paid me a small ...

                      You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if in fact the Spirit of God dwells in you. Anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him. But if Christ is in you, although the body is dead because of sin, the Spirit is life because of righteousness.   We have a lot of wonderful wildlife here where we live! This hawk has been on my pole and wire by my house a lot lately. I see and hear him a lot. A very beautiful bird! I thought it was an eagle of sorts, I was looking up to see, but it looks like it is a hawk. I have maybe narrowed it down to either a Broad-winged Hawk, Red-tailed Hawk, or maybe a Rough-legged Hawk, according to what I could find and research online by the way it looks. It has a lot of white or light colors, some darker around the wings, but fairly light. It is very majestic to look and and watch, it perches for long periods of time, just looking around, even like licking its upper feathers. It also almost looks like an owl somewhat too. Anyway, I have seen this one like this here where we live in VLE a lot for the past two years or so. I feel bad as so much of the woods and forest are being taking down to build houses, it worries me they won't have an environment to live in anymore. We are very blessed to live...

  I saw a robin bird today here behind my house in a tree in VLE! The first time for me ever in Florida seeing a robin. I am from Upstate New York, I grew up seeing robins all the time. I had never seen one in Florida in my 27 years of living here in this state until today. What a blessing! My mother loved birds, she loved seeing them, she really loved the blue jays and cardinals. I see them here a lot. I put bird feeders out and they come all the time. Today was the first time for me to see a robin. I was so excited. It comforted me and made me think my mom was here with me. What a blessing! 

  We dodged another hurricane! While it was bad and scary, we prayed, and it helped. Not too much damage or anything. I think both went almost over us, so it helped to not have as much damage of the winds. God's covenant with us, rainbows, He is so good to us, and seeing this made me happy this afternoon right by our house. God is great! He really looks out for us! He is a blessing and miracle in times of storms and troubles. Thank God for our great God! Grateful we faired well from this storm! 

  I love seeing all the critters around here! It is a nice feeling to see so much wildlife here. Eagles, owls, sandhill cranes, turtles, rabbits, blue jays, cardinals, squirrels, butterflies, red headed woodpeckers, so much wildlife here and it is so nice to see! I just love the turtles! I have bird feeders setup so always see many birds. It is always a blessing to see God's critters out and about! 

I love seeing all the wildlife around my house. Each day I see turtles, cardinals, blue jays, squirrels, etc. Yesterday I saw the pair of sand hill cranes again. They make a very loud screeching noise. They are very graceful creatures! The other day I saw this turtle again, I see him often, he goes in the road and all, a guy on the bike was screaming and cussing about the overbuilding here, as they are building new houses down the road and doing a lot of backhoe work, he feels bad for the turtles being displaced as do I. It is sad. I have seen so many eagles and owls here, but they keep cutting down more of their habitat and where will they be able to live soon?  While it is nice to live in the country, it is worrisome to see so much of the woods and animal habitat being taking down to build more houses, too bad they wouldn't put a moratorium on it for a while.
